Sony's Spider-Man Universe of movies will be taking an interesting turn in 2024 when the new Madame Web movie finally arrives in theaters, marking the latest spinoff film based on the web-crawler's mythology. However, this will be the first movie from that franchise to focus on one of Spider-Man's allies rather than one of his villains, as it follows one of the more ambiguous characters in Marvel Comics.
Johnson will be headlining Madame Web, which finished principal photography earlier this year and despite the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the movie is still on track to be released in February 2024. The fan art also features Sweeney as Spider-Woman, as she will be playing the Julia Carpenter iteration of the Marvel heroine.
