Jensen Ackles suits up in different Batsuits from the comics for Batman: The Brave and The Bold in new DC Universe fan art. 2023 is marking the end of the DCEU in order for the new DC Universe to replace it in 2025 from James Gunn and Peter Safran. One of the big movies that was revealed back in January was Batman: The Brave and The Bold, which will be part of Chapter 1, "Gods and Monsters."

Since the DC Universe will have to cast a new Batman following Ben Affleck's tenure in the DCEU, the world is waiting patiently to see who will be tapped as the iconic Gotham City vigilante. Over the last few months, there have been numerous fan casting ideas for DC Studios' Batman, as well as speculation on how Gunn and Safran will approach this version of him.

With Ackles being a popular choice for the Caped Crusader in Batman: The Brave and The Bold, JPH_Photoshop shared a gallery of designs of what he could look like donning the Batsuit. The artist used a number of costumes from the comics, including the classic black-and-gray suit, as well as the costume with the blue cowl and cape.

Everything We Know About The DCU's Batman: The Brave And The Bold So Far

While no release date has yet been set for his reboot, a few details about Batman: The Brave and The Bold have already been confirmed. Even though it doesn't have a screenwriter attached, The Flash's Andy Muschietti is set to direct it, which was finally confirmed in June. Despite numerous reports, Gunn has debunked several Batman: The Brave and The Bold casting rumors, stating that they are "miles and miles away" from having their leading man.

Batman: The Brave and The Bold will be drawing inspiration from Grant Morrison's Batman run, as the DC Universe movie will introduce Damian Wayne in live-action for the first time. The reboot will feature an established Batman who discovers that he has a son, with his mother being none other than Talia al Ghul. DC Studios have also teased that other members of the Bat-Family will show up in Batman: The Brave and The Bold in some capacity.

Time will tell how far they have gotten on Batman: The Brave and The Bold, especially with the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes still happening. Even though it will likely be a few years until the movie comes out, it is always possible the audience will see Batman somewhere else in the DC Universe prior to his solo film. Hopefully, DC Studios will begin revealing more details about Batman: The Brave and The Bold once the ongoing Hollywood strikes come to an end.
